Common questions
Are Actum Pro Lite and Actum Pro different apps?
No. The app is named Actum Pro. Actum Pro Lite is its free access level, and an Actum Pro subscription unlocks the paid features in the same app.
What should I enter when updating progress?
Enter the cumulative total completed on that job—not only what you completed today. If the app shows 27 completed pages and you finish 18 more, enter 45.
Does writing count toward a court reporter’s editing goal?
No. Writing progress is tracked separately. For court-reporter work, the daily pacing goal represents edited pages. The estimated transcript still reserves upcoming editing workload.
Can I work in recorded minutes instead of pages?
Yes. Scopists, proofreaders, transcriptionists, and other users can choose pages or recorded audio/video minutes as the work unit that matches the assignment.
What happens at the Actum Pro Lite job limit?
Actum Pro Lite supports up to five active jobs. Completed jobs do not consume an active-job slot and remain available. Upgrade to Actum Pro for unlimited active jobs.
Where is my data stored?
Actum Pro stores working job data locally on the device and does not require a separate Actum account. User-initiated backup and restore tools let you choose where backup files are saved.
Will upgrading or downgrading erase my jobs?
No. Access changes within the same app. Ending a subscription returns the app to Actum Pro Lite limitations without intentionally deleting saved data.
How do I preserve data before an update?
Install updates over the existing app and export a current backup first. Do not delete the app, because deleting an app can also delete its local data from that device.
Is Actum Pro an accounting or invoicing system?
No. The public launch is focused on transcript production pacing and workload planning. Billing and payment tools are still being evaluated for a later release.
