Quick Start

Start with one job.

You do not need to learn the whole app. Actum Pro begins with the essentials and brings in more options only when you choose them.

1

Add the job

Enter its name, deadline, and estimated pages or recorded minutes.

2

Read today’s pace

Home shows the average work needed each available day to finish on time.

3

Update progress

Enter the total completed so far. If 27 pages were complete and you finish 18 more, enter 45.

4

Repeat tomorrow

Actum Pro recalculates the remaining pace as your work changes.

For court reporters: writing is tracked separately. The daily goal counts edited pages, not pages written.

Learn as you go

The app does not put everything in your way at once.

Use the short form for quick entry. Turn Guidance on only when you want an explanation. Open More Options on a job only when the next step is not enough. Your information remains available without crowding the common path.

When you’re ready: pages or minutes

Choose the unit that reflects your actual work. Court reporters often pace edited pages. Transcriptionists may use recorded audio/video minutes. Scopists and proofreaders can choose whichever measure fits the assignment.

When you’re ready: Today’s Goal

Pace is the current average needed to finish all active work on time. Today’s Goal gives you a stable benchmark after you begin recording progress for the day.

When you’re ready: completed jobs

Mark a job Complete when its production work is finished. It leaves the active workload but remains available from Completed. Reopen it if more work is required.

When you’re ready: Actum Pro tools

Actum Pro adds unlimited active jobs, search, sorting, multi-job progress updates, a Work Calendar, workload preview before accepting a job, case packages, notes, reminders, and customization.

When you’re ready: backups

Use Export Backup regularly and keep the file somewhere appropriate for confidential information. Install updates over the existing app; deleting an app can delete its local data.
